I was born and raised on the scenic west coast – from Northern California to all over western Oregon. After stints as a school teacher, waitress, organic vegetable farmer, Buddhist monastic, and nonprofit worker, I wanted to shift into work that utilized what I learned about meditation and relaxation while being of service in the field of health and healing. This led me to massage therapy, obtaining my massage therapy credentials at the St. Croix Center for the Healing Arts in Hudson, Wisconsin in 2010. I have found this work of therapeutic touch, soft tissue and nervous system manipulation, and the compassionate listening and caring that it requires, deeply rewarding. I returned to Corvallis in 2013 to practice massage and raise my son (and now two cats!).
I provide individualized sessions, unique to each client, integrating Swedish strokes with therapeutic and deep tissue techniques. A treatment plan might include regular (weekly, bi-weekly) sessions until your area of pain or tension has improved, or monthly "maintenance" sessions to keep tension at bay or to address chronic patterns that need re-visiting.
